Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This Privacy Policy explains how WJN Consulting, LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("WJN Consulting," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our website (the "Site") or contact us. It also explains the choices and rights you have.
This policy does not cover information we process for clients under a services agreement. That work is governed by the agreement with each client.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use our contact form, we collect:
- your full name, work email address, and company name;
- your phone number, company website, and city, if you provide them;
- your state and the service you are interested in; and
- your agreement to be contacted, together with the wording you accepted, the language of the page, and the date and time we received it.
If you email us directly, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and Google automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you, the date and time of your visit, and identifiers stored in cookies or similar technologies. If you arrive by clicking one of our Google ads, Google also receives an identifier for that click. When you use the contact form, Cloudflare Turnstile also receives technical information, such as your IP address and browser characteristics, to check that the form is sent by a person and not by an automated program.
We do not ask for sensitive information, such as health, financial account, or government identification data. Please do not include it in the form or in emails to us.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry and follow up with you by email or phone.
- To evaluate and provide the services you ask about, and to manage our business relationship with you.
- To operate, maintain, and secure the Site, including preventing spam and abuse (for example, by limiting repeated form submissions from the same IP address and checking with Cloudflare Turnstile that submissions come from people).
- To measure how well our Google ads work and to show our ads to people who have visited the Site, subject to the choices described below.
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Your privacy choices
You can turn advertising cookies off or on at any time in , also linked at the bottom of every page. Your choice is saved in the browser you use. If you clear your browser storage or use another browser or device, you will need to choose again.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of targeted advertising and of the sale of your personal information, and we turn advertising cookies off in that browser.
Do Not Track. There is no common standard for Do Not Track signals, so the Site does not respond to them. We honor Global Privacy Control instead.
Emails. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by replying to our email or writing to us at the address below.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiry information for as long as we need it to respond to you, to follow up on a possible engagement, to maintain our business relationship, and to meet our legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations. To decide how long that is, we consider whether you became a client, whether our conversation is ongoing, and whether we need the information to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
When we no longer need the information, we delete it or make it anonymous. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, as described below. Google keeps the information it collects for the periods described in its own policies.
How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- confirm whether we process your personal information and access it;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete personal information;
- obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable format; and
- opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal information, and profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Residents of Connecticut, New Jersey, and other states with consumer privacy laws have these rights to the extent those laws apply to us. We offer the same choices to every visitor who asks.
To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy request". We will verify your request using information we already have, such as your email address, and respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why and may extend that period by up to 45 more days, as the law allows. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may ask for proof of the agent's authority.
If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing [email protected] with the subject "Privacy appeal". We will respond within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your appeal, you may contact your state Attorney General.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Visitors outside the United States
The Site is intended for businesses in the United States, and we process and store information in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
If the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation or the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection applies to you, we rely on your consent for advertising cookies and on our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries for contact form data. You may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your data, to data portability, to withdraw your consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children’s privacy
The Site is meant for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Other websites
The Site may link to websites and services we do not operate, such as Google and Cloudflare. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice, such as a notice on the Site.
